was launched on July 8th, 2003. During
these three months of operations we had 283,550
page views.
- Iko
Poran's program in partnership with the Projeto
Saúde e Alegria (Health and Happiness
Project) and the American Organization Volunteers
For Peace is referred in the
bulletin calendar of October 9th of the
initiative Ethics
and Development from the Inter-American
Development Bank.
- Iko
Poran is receiving Kelley
Moldstad and Jennifer Bushnell,
international volunteers from Seattle/USA, who
have donated goods and are participating in the
projects Recycling & Culture - OndAzul,
and Se Essa Rua Fosse Minha (If
This Street Was Mine) - SERFM.
- Iko
Poran will
be the first organization not based in the United
States to become a member of the International
Volunteer Programs Association.
The annual Board Meeting will be held in New York
City next November 6-7th and Ms Christine Clauser,
Development Director of Dreams
Can Be Foundation,
our partner in the US, will represents us.
- Iko
Poran is
"news" in the community
Estudos
Turísticos (Tourist
Studies). The initiative has also supplied
us a section in its Website that will be
monthly updated with our bulletins.

Poran was
invited to make a speech about "Partnerships"
in the International
Simposium on Volunteerism, which will
take place in Dakar, Senegal, between October 23rd
to 25th. We have not confirmed yet.
