OndAzul Foundation was born in 1990, brain child of Gilberto Gil - one of most expressive and well-known Brazilian artists, environmental activist and Lula’s Government Minister of Culture (Brazil). He noticed that the water would be the main environmental theme in this beginning of XXIst century.

Created in 1990, the Ondazul Foundation runs social-environmental projects: intervention campaigns for ecological defense with a strong social component, being devoted to the water subject and community development through its direct action in the communities, addressed to environmental subjects. Besides this, the Foundation regularly edits publications and performs events and programs linked to ecological themes.

It generates 14 direct jobs for the community and qualifies ten people more in cooperatives management through Fundação OndAzul partnerships.

Hype Fair - Rio de Janeiro
