Volunteer on Animal Conservation in India

Volunteer with animal conservation in India with IKPVA helping to make a full recovery of injured animals!

Animal Conservation in India
Animal Rescue & Care

This wildlife volunteer project is run by a non-profit organization in the animal care & research sector. Since the animal rescue project works from its headquarter at the centre of the city, it can serve an area of around 4-6 hectare. Because local residents of Jaipur now can report stray or injured animals to the organisation, they are able to rescue and collect litterally hundreds of animals and birds in the area. Within the abandoned animals mostly count dogs, cats, monkeys, pigeons, eagles, parrots, vultures, rabbits, camels, buffalos, cows and donkeys, amongst others.

New Helpline for Animals by the Organisation

The organization also runs a helpline for animals. If someone finds an injured animal or bird, they can call to the helpline number for the project team to collect it from the location. They take it to the center and treat and care for the animal until they make a full recovery. When the rehabilitation was successful, they will return the animal to where it belongs originally. The animal project is beneficial to all parts, since all the expenses are borne by the organization itself.

In this wildlife volunteering project your duties may include, but not limited to:

  • Interaction with the animals & local staff of the project site
  • Helping in preparing the food and in filling the water pots of the animals/birds
  • Helping in cleaning the cages and kennels
