I wanted to have a different experience from that of a tourist. I wanted to feel much more part of another lifestyle - not to simply be an observer. My placement could not have been better.

I believe that both Iko Poran and CEMINA have given me a great opportunity to really become involved in their work, understand a little about the NGO sector in this country and sincerely make a difference. |

I am really happy to have had the opportunity to work in such a different environment and within such a rich and diverse culture. The experience for me was meant to open my eyes and broaden my horizons - it has certainly done that and much more! |

The people I have met, the challenges I have undertaken and the tangible successes I have had, have made my experience with CEMINA and Iko Poran something I will never forget. The whole experience has been an eye opener and been one of the most memorable aspects of my trip to South
America.
Dipak activities have been of real benefit and he has made a long-term impact on the important work that is being done by the partner organization CEMINA
1. He has supported CEMINA to develop skills development presentations in the subject area of business planning;
2. He researched and analyzed possible strategies to ensure future sustainability for the organization and its partner radio stations;
3. He has written articles and case studies for English speaking readers for a variety of publications;
He provided English support material for possible donors and website
readers. |
