PARTNER INSTITUTION AND PROJECT

O Nosso Papel (ONP) was established in 2001 as a non Governmental Organisation, to provide people from underpriveleged backgrounds with an opportunity to generate an income through training and support to create and use recycled paper to make handicrafts and office supplies.

In this way ONP addresses environmental issues, employment issues and poverty, all of which are crucial areas for social development.
Through daily workshops, young people can learn from and teach each other how to make recycled paper out of used paper and subsequently make them into useful stationery and other items such as note books, coasters, beautiful dolls and handicrafts.

O Nosso Papel has recently begun to expand it´s services by developing new educational projects teaching English, Spanish, computer skills and local tourism courses.
