Dental Internship in Cusco, Peru

Volunteer in Peru in our dental program located in a facility in an underprivileged area of Cusco, providing vital services to low income families. Volunteers will be working to develop a free dental healthcare campaign to help ensure that everyone has access to the treatment they need.

Dental Internship suitable for graduate and final year students

The dental internship is particularly suitable for graduates and final year students who want to gain valuable clinical experience. It is also possible for us to place students who aren’t in their final years, but you will be restricted to observing and helping with non-clinical tasks.

Public Medical Centres are under Budget

The public medical centres here are under budget and will not allow the free use of products/materials, therefore it is required that interns participating in this project bring their own supplies. Each intern should bring at least: medical gloves, shoes, first aid kit, periodontology kits, conservation kits, 3. 50 dental needle-different sizes, white medical jacket and Scrubs (to wear daily), alcohol wipes, gauze, medical cotton, dental composite resins (white fillings).

Dental Internship Volunteers help providing much needed treatment

By working in this project you will be a huge help within the community, providing much needed treatment which otherwise the people could not afford. You will also get to witness treatments from a different country’s perspective.

You will be living in Cusco, the gateway to the sacred valley and Machu Pichu and the archaeological capital of the Americas. It is a cosmopolitan city with one of the richest heritages of South America; when you are not working you will be free to explore this amazing place.
