Football Coaching in Tanzania
Volunteer Football Coaching in Tanzania – Sports Development
Volunteer with football coaching in Tanzania in our sports development project. The sports project offers sport activities (mainly football) to 400 children (boys and girls) from several football schools. The idea is to keep them away from the danger through sports and to develop the female football. Everyday the coaches highlight the importance of the respect for rules, teamwork and perseverance to become a better person physically, intellectually and socially. Don’t worry about eventual limitaions of your football skills, since you can teach other sports as well at primary and secondary schools (netball, volleyball).
Volunteers are invited to help on all the sports activities, organize their own workshop if they want and also teach English. Maybe, you will fee exhausted after the training, but it definitely it will be well worth it!
Work alongside the coaches of the football (soccer) team
As a sports volunteer, you’ll work alongside the coaches of the football team to help facilitate daily practices. Additionally, the team will play matches on the weekends, where you will assist the coach. Volunteers do not need to be professionals in sports, but rather have a passion and excitement for this program. Though you will work on the weekends, you can arrange with our staff to take off certain weekends for travel. Then you can have a trip and see other parts of the country. Moreover, sports volunteers may consider combining the football coaching it with another program, such as childcare or teaching. Thus you can fill your days with more activities and build stronger bonds with the community.
