What Will You Do?
As a volunteer in this program, you’ll work closely with local therapists and caregivers to foster inclusion and empowerment for the children. Some of your key activities will include:
- Assist in therapy sessions: Work alongside occupational, physical, and speech therapists to help children reach their full potential.
- Organize recreational activities: Plan adapted games, crafts, and music sessions that engage and inspire.
- Support with daily tasks: Assist children with feeding, hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Create sensory environments: Collaborate on developing spaces to stimulate the children’s senses and encourage exploration.
- Teach daily living skills: Help children gain independence by teaching tasks like self-feeding and dressing.
- Assist with school activities: Support kids as they learn basic subjects like math, communication, and science from Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 13:00 hrs.
- Facilitate group activities: Encourage social interaction and friendship through group games.
- Provide supervision and support: Assist during outings and excursions to ensure the children’s safety and enjoyment.

- Dates: Mid-March to December (Monday to Friday).
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

Start Dates

✅ Volunteers should arrive on Sundays.

Important Note:
- Program fees are paid directly to the host organization.
- A one-time registration fee of $149 applies in addition to the program fee.

Accommodation & Meals
🏠 Volunteers stay with host families or in a volunteer residence, depending on the project.
🍽️ Three meals per day (Monday–Friday) – breakfast, lunch & dinner included.
Note: Dinner is pretty light in the Andes.
Requirements
✔️ Minimum Age: 18+ (Exceptions for under-18s with parental consent or a guardian).
✔️ Travel Insurance: Required for all participants.
✔️ Basic Spanish Recommended:
- A basic grasp of Spanish is highly recommended to communicate with locals, staff, and project participants.
- 1 week of Spanish lessons (20 hours) is available upon arrival, affordable costs.
- If you already speak Spanish or want extra lessons, arrangements can be made with your coordinator.
