Volunteer Teaching English in Cambodia with some children from the Teaching program

Educational volunteers work together with local teachers or, in some cases, on their own. At preschool, the volunteer work includes teaching basic English skills, and as well carrying out some basic childcare duties. At primary and secondary school, you will volunteer teaching core subjects like English, mathematics, science, and may initiate extra-curricular activities after school such as art, music, theater, sports or gardening.

Volunteers may also tutor small and manageable community groups or individual tutoring outside the class room for adults. In some schools, you will prepare tests and exams and even correct exams. The longer you stay the more responsibilities you will receive.
