Teaching English in Tanzania

Teaching English in Tanzania: Assistant Teacher at a School in Arusha

Stefan Nowacki from Poland teaching in Tanzania

Come and work as an educational volunteer in Tanzania teaching in our educational project at a school in Arusha. This is a project that requires a lot of dedication and enthusiasm. You will have the opportunity of supporting a nursery/primary school (children aged 3-11) or a secondary school (teenagers aged 11-16). Both schools are located within at only five minutes walking distance from the hostel. As an educational volunteer in Tanzania, you will be dealing with 60 children between the ages 3 and 16 everyday, depending on the school you choose.

Children will be excited to have the opportunity learning from you!

They will be very excited for you to teach them several subjects, supporting the teacher or teaching by yourself. As an educational volunteer in Tanzania, you will see from the very beginning that they are passionate about learning. Moreover, both childrens and teachers, will be very grateful if you support them with extracurricular activities. You can make the children very happy, when you play games with them or exercise sports on a regular basis in the evenings.

Yair’s Teaching Experience at the School in Arusha

Yair with his class in Tanzania

The Royal School is a primary school in Arusha, in a poor neighborhood.
I personaly taught English, Math, Music and dances, in several grades (2 to 7th)
I had a very good relations with all the school personel and the kids.
The satisfaction of helping the school is very good.
The children need a lot of love, help and support and give you their love back…
The school needs more volunteers and also financial support in order to improve its conditions. –
